DREARINESS" are a band of Depressive - Experimental Black Metal originating in Italy, the band was founded in February 2012. What was initially a collaboration between members of different bands such as MISERE NOBIS became a new project musical, but unfortunately does not reach the expected expectations. It was in 2013 when "My Mind Is Too Weak To Forget Site" officially came to light as the band's debut album.
Although musically they are quite original, we cannot say the same of the final result. Black Metal is well done in every way, sometimes oriented towards Depressive Doom Metal and they know how to drink in the same way as experimental. Dark music, slow, scary and full of pain. I even dare to say that it attracts the attention of the main idea of the album, because more or less I imagined where the shots were going to go from the beginning in a style that has always caught my attention.
Something bad that this album has ?, I would say nothing and I say this from a personal point of view, the voice of his female singer is adequate. Black squawks are too sharp, abrasive and infernal due to the lack of monotony of a vocal line register where the change is noticeable. By this I mean that even listening to a single song absorbs you to satiety, because of the vocal record class, it is too brutal, even for the most purists. And if to top it off we add the nuance of the extremely long duration of their songs, because the truth is that there is a noticeable influence where between the ethyl DSBM.
And it is that when it comes to making such a depressive style, where all this is supposedly worth, you have to create a vocal line appropriate to the style of music and try to get away from that mania that had many to limit the voice to indescribable sounds of caveman character , with a vocal line too basic and repetitive, here we have not noticed that. On this occasion I have not been able to give a better verdict to this work, which carries with it good ideas and sufficient quality.
